Claim Procedures:
Personal Injury, Sickness and Hospitalization

In case of personal accident or sickness, please consult medical doctors and retain all original medical bills, records, examination reports, hospital discharge notes, etc.

In case of the followings, you should report to the local Police or concerned authorities, co-operate with them on investigations and obtain relevant reports:

Traffic Accident - Traffic Accident Report or the "Decision of Negligence & Settlement Recommendation" issued by the Police;

Theft & Burglary, Malicious Damage, Accidental Death, Murder, etc. - Police record and investigation report.

In case of permanent dismemberment arising out of an accident, please provide the original Permanent Disability Certificate" issued by Grade 3A or above hospital or judiciary institutions. In case of fatal accident, please provide "Death Certificate" issued by the attending hospital and the Police.

Property Loss or Damage

In case of loss of or damage to your personal luggage, personal belongings and money during the journey, please notify within 24 hours of the discovery of the loss or damage to the police, hotel, carriers or concerned parties. Obtain written confirmation of the report and retain all purchase invoices, replacement bills or repair quotations.

If possible and permissible, take photos of the accident scene, damaged property and injured person.

If travel delay or travel curtailment is involved, please obtain documentary proof of the reasons for such delay or curtailment and provide proof of the related loss as a result.
Personal Liability

You should not voluntarily make any admission of liability or enter into any settlement or compromise of a claim without obtaining prior written consent from AXA.

If necessary, AXA may appoint one of their Claims Adjusters or an Independent Loss Adjuster to investigate into the incident. The adjuster's job is to advise you what to do immediately and what further information will be required. Please provide your fullest co-operation and assistance to the adjuster.

If a third party is responsible for causing the accident, please reserve your right to hold the third party liable for the loss.

If a legal action is brought against you, please immediately forward the writ of summons or other process received to us. We shall, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the policy, assist you in the defense of the case.
