Appointment of Jan van den Berg as CEO, AXA Asia Pacific General Insurance ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 07/08/2007

AXA Asia Pacific General Insurance announced the appointment of Jan van den Berg to the position of CEO heading the general insurance activities of AXA in Asia. His responsibilities include all entities under AXA Asia General Insurance as well as the direct general insurance operations in Japan and South Korea.

Jan was a medical doctor and did an MBA in Rotterdam and Philadelphia Wharton. Before joining AXA in 2000, he worked in corporate finance (Pricewaterhouse Coopers) for 5 years and subsequently for ING Insurance for 6 years. He was the former CEO of AXA in Netherlands.
