Exporter Solution Seminar
Winterthur Insurance (Asia) Ltd, Shanghai Branch held the very first ˇ°Exporter solution seminarˇ°on May 15th in National development Bank Building.
"Made-in-China" now owns a significant position on global trading, especially after China entered into WTO. Consequently the risks Chinese exporters are facing when exporting are not the same as past, but could raised by different factors as politics, economic environment, or law status in various nations; this has brought us a new topic. Therefore how to recognize the potential risks, being aware of prevention, control, transfer or even clear the risk, has became one of the priorities for domestic exporters.
Being the first European general insurer entered into China, Winterthur has abundant experience on providing relevant insurance and risk management service to the exporters. Hence the aim for this forum is to discuss the concerns of exporters and provide potential financial solution to them, our distinguished partners. Over 80 clients from more than 70 enterprises attended this forum.
The experts from Winterthur shared the information of potential risks during export transportation as well as the risks that brought by product quality with participants in the forum, they also introduced the frequent-met problems during claims. These Underwriters and Claim specialists shared their thoughts with participants on how to prevent, control, and transfer the mentioned risks, which was highly attractive to most participants, lots of responses raised in the Q&A session, which lasted about 40 minutes.
Questionnaires been distributed for following up the feedback after seminar; According to Jack Yuan, deputy General manager of Winterthur, "it's our responsibility to promote risk cognition and to help improving the risk management level of our clients. As a member of AXA, Winterthur is willing to share its knowledge and technology with its Chinese customers, helping them gains more capacity on exporting."
