AXA Forum 2008 "Leading Profitable Growth"

Winterthur Insurance Successfully Hosted The First AXA Forum.

AXA Forum is an annual event, brought its valued business partners by AXA to promote mutual communications. This regional initiative has entered into its third year. This year the Forum, sharing a single theme of “Leading Profitable Growth”, was successfully rolled out in six entities in Asia namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Thailand during April to June.

In Shanghai, it is the first time that Winterthur Insurance (Asia) Ltd. SH Branch to hold this event, On 13 June. About 120 valued guests and key intermediaries, accompanied by about 40 Winterthur staff, gathered together at the Mandarin Ballroom of Shanghai JC Mandarin for the half-day event.

The event was kicked off by presentations from Dr. Victor Kuk, Greater China CEO and Mr. Raymond Chan, China CEO on the Company’s directions and business strategies. Guest speakers Mr Chye Pang and Ms Cathy Hwang from Milliman shared their views of domestic property insurance market.

The feedback gathered from the participants was unanimously positive. They were all enthusiastic, especially for the second part of the Forum when an interactive panel discussion was held. Various questions were raised and guest speakers Mr. YC Wei, CEO of Aon-COFCO Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd and Professor Xu Wen Hu, Dean of Insurance Department of Fu Dan University gave spontaneous answers. Not only did they find the sharing informative and useful, participants also appreciated the Forum as a good opportunity to get together with many friends from the industry and enjoyed a great time in catching up with each other during the tea break and then lunch.

Raymond made a warm closing remark with an emphasis on the importance of partnership between the intermediaries and AXA. And he thank again for participants' continuously support, as a member of AXA, we are looking forward to seeing you again in the AXA Forum next year.
